Staying Connected and Being Accountable

MP Community,

I want to take a moment to thank all parents, students, school employees, and community members for the incredible effort we have seen from everyone as we continue to educate children in our school district. I want to encourage all to continue to communicate with each other as we move forward. Parents, please continue to go to the parent portal to check your child's progress. If you have questions, please contact your child's teacher. We all must be engaged in learning during this difficult time.

I want to remind everyone that we need to take responsibility to practice and teach social distancing. We need to remind our children why we are doing this and how we can make a difference. Please help our children and others to understand that the poor decisions by one person certainly can create hardship for an entire community. As the weather begins to warm up next week, please take the time to visit with your child about staying 6 feet away from others and how they should not be in isolated areas with ten or more friends. Please take time each day to recognize teaching moments and remind your child of good hygiene practices that can help protect them and others from COVID -19.

Even though we may not be at the school teaching your child each day, please know that we are all connected in trying to protect each other from this awful virus. If you have questions and are not able to get through to your child's teachers or principal, please do not hesitate to give me a call.
